Learn to Paint from Photos with Paula Hare

Join award-winning artist, Paula Hare in this instrumental workshop and gain valuable tips and tricks for how to paint beautiful renderings from your photographs. Participants will learn the purpose of underpainting, the importance of drawing and design, pushing values and making every stroke count. This workshop is appropriate for artists painting in oils or acrylics and will include expert instruction for beginners and experienced painters alike. See below for supply list; CCC does have acrylic paints and brushes, however not all the oil paints listed.

-2” cheap foam brush
Oil or acrylic paint
-Sap Green
-Cobalt violet hue
-Cadmium yellow medium
-Cadmium yellow light
-Ultramarine blue
-Manganese blue
-Titanium White
-Ivory Black
-Cadmium Red Medium
-Cadmium Red Light
(feel free to bring other colors if you have them)
Paper towel roll AND a few paper plates
9 x 12 or 11 x 14 canvases
Palette paper or plastic palette for mixing paint
A 5 x 7 or larger photo that you have taken (no stock photos or pictures from the internet. Examples include landscapes, sunrises, sunsets, barns, water scenes, gardens. Please avoid bringing portraits or photos of people)
