You will learn the essentials of sketching through simple arrangements of two to three objects. This course introduces quick, freehand sketching techniques, including drawing faces and full-length human figures using graphite, charcoal or pastels. Students will explore composition, proportion and fundamental drawing techniques that help convey dimension and scale. These skills provide a strong base for achieving lifelike representation of human form. Students should bring a 9x12” Sketch pad or drawing paper, graphite pencils: HB, 2B, 4B and eraser.
