Beyond Stick People: Drawing for Beginners with Michelle Savas Thompson
Thursday, January 26: 9 am-12 pm
This drawing workshop is for true beginners who exclaim, “I can’t even draw stick people”! In this drawing class, students will learn from a step-by-step structure that is easy to follow, without being overwhelmed. Students will be taught how to see, really see, what they are drawing by focusing on the shapes of the objects (and more importantly, the shapes between the objects). We will focus on a simple subject and technique that gets you started with drawing and shading. You will view drawing with a whole new outlook and attitude All supplies are included in the class fee. This class is offered at a greatly reduced rate because of a generous donation from Claudette Lee-Roseland, who wanted to inspire all adults to create art. (Intended for novices in drawing).

Claudette Lee-Roseland Endowed Classes. These classes are offered at a greatly reduced rate to encourage adults to take the leap and begin experimenting in the arts. We welcome new students or students who are resuming their art journey to register and try out a new medium they have been on the fence about and have always wanted to try. This reduced rate is made possible by a generous donation from Claudette Lee- Roseland’s family on her behalf.
