Beginning Hand Embroidery with Allison Miller

Friday, May 12:  9:30 am-12:30 pm

Embroidery is a wonderfully meditative medium. This 3-hour workshop is designed with true beginners in mind and will include everything from learning how to separate embroidery floss to what needles to use for the best success. Students will learn basic embroidery skills, including four stitches and how to back their piece with felt, while creating a 5-inch embroidery hoop. The skills taught in this class are easily expanded upon to create more advanced works. All materials will be provided; there is a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor at the beginning of the class.

This class is offered at a greatly reduced rate due to a generous donation from Claudette Lee-Roseland, who wanted to inspire all adults to create art.
