Basic Techniques in Pastel with Chris Behrs
Saturday, April 6:  9 am-3 pm
Join us in learning how to paint in pastel. Pastel artist and instructor, Chris Behrs, will demonstrate basic application and layering of pastels. Students will learn the use of techniques, including underpainting, blending, use of hard and soft pastels and creating textures. The workshop includes demonstration, instruction and individualized attention, allowing students to practice underpainting, layering and the creation of different textures for stone, landscape, water, and sky. All supplies are included. Students will break for lunch.

Claudette Lee-Roseland Endowed Classes. These classes are offered at a greatly reduced rate to encourage adults to take the leap and begin experimenting in the arts. We welcome new students or students who are resuming their art journey to register and try out a new medium they have been on the fence about and have always wanted to try.
