Wire Wrap Jewelry 101 with Angela Hamilton

Thursdays, March 28, April 4, 11, 18, 25,  May 2:  6-8 pm

In this class for beginners, you will learn to use wire to create beautiful jewelry and to enhance your jewelry making skills. The techniques we use are easy, artistic and creative. Each week you will learn a different technique that will build on the previous week’s lesson. The ‘simple wrap’ technique will be used to make caged beads and bead caps. We will use this technique to make earrings and simple, yet elegant, wire wrapped bracelets with accented charms. Learn techniques to create your own findings such as wire links, clasps and earring hooks. We will wire wrap focal pieces to make rings and bangles, bringing the diva out in all of us! Finally, we will wrap up the class by creating wire wrapped leather pieces. All tools and materials are included in the class fee. Students may also bring in their favorite beads.

Claudette Lee-Roseland Endowed Classes. These classes are offered at a greatly reduced rate to encourage adults to take the leap and begin experimenting in the arts. We welcome new students or students who are resuming their art journey to register and try out a new medium they have been on the fence about and have always wanted to try. This reduced rate is made possible by a generous donation from Claudette Lee- Roseland’s family on her behalf.
