Mixed Media and Cedarburg Architecture with Mary Pesch
Wednesdays, January 13, 20: 1:30-3 pm
Using watercolor, colored pencils and micron markers, we will resurrect the textural feel and features of historic Cedarburg buildings, particularly the stone, wrought iron, a weathered door, limestone and brick. Learn to see and render the details, including cast shadows and light. Mary will provide outlines so that we can focus immediately on learning and practicing techniques and arrive at the rich textures in our paintings found in our local historic buildings. Participants will receive reference photos and line drawings, witness demos and be guided and given tips and illustrated worksheets. Most supplies are included; students should bring 2 Micron Ink Pens: Brown and Sepia, both size .01.
