Calling Everyone!
COMMUNITY HISTORIC MOSAIC MURAL PROJECTS
Roll up your sleeves! We are proud to invite you to free workshops in glass cutting and mosaic assembly at the CCC and Port Washington. The workshops are part of an exciting Community Historic Mosaic Mural Project, which will culminate in the creation of two exciting works of public art to be enjoyed by all!
The first of the two mosaic murals will be installed at the CCC and focus on the history, architecture and landscape of historic Cedarburg. The second will make its permanent home in the entrance area of the Ozaukee County Administration Center, attached to the historic courthouse in Port Washington. The mosaic will focus on the natural beauty, culture and history of Ozaukee County.
Both murals will be comprised of hand-built ceramic tiles, colored glass and found objects.
The Ozaukee County Mural will be unveiled on Wednesday, May 30, at 6:30 at the Port Washington Administration Building.
The Cedarburg Mural will be unveiled on Friday, June 15, at 6:30 at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.
