Youth Clay Camp with Taylor McDarison 
Monday & Tuesday, June 22 & 23: 1-2:30 pm

Looking for an enriching activity this summer for your 8-12 year old? Come play in the dirt with us! This two day clay camp will teach budding artists how to work in clay as they design and create their own small clay box with a personalized creature. Participants will learn all the basics of hand building in clay, including coil and pinch methods, slab building, slipping and scoring, painting with engobes and sgraffito techniques. This camp is great for their hands and their minds. No previous experience in clay necessary. Students are encouraged to bring a smock. All supplies are included; class fee includes cost of firings, clay and glazes.
