Grander Skies: Painting Remarkable Clouds in Your Landscapes with Chris Behrs
Saturday, March 12: 9 am-3:30 pm
Join award-winning artist, Chris Behrs, in a day of painting, whether that be pastel, acrylic, or oil. Chris has been fascinated with clouds all his life; who hasn’t been? All the variations, facets, and qualities of clouds have been an inspiration in much of his work. Whether lumbering giants, wispy and feathery, or catching the incredible colors of a sunrise or sunset, clouds can play an important role in any outdoor painting. In this workshop we will explore the many facets and varied qualities of clouds. If you share this fascination and want to learn how to represent these incredible forms in your paintings, join Chris as he leads you through his approach and the steps in his process for painting clouds. Class will involve demonstration, practice and critique. Chris will be demonstrating in pastel. Students should bring cloud reference photos or may work from images instructor will bring. The supply list is available online. *If painting in acrylic or oil, contact Kerry at 262.375.3676 for recommended supplies.
