Pysanky Egg Dying with Kathleen Johns

Learn the Ukrainian ethnic tradition of Pysanky egg dying, using an ancient wax-resistance method to batik 2 or 3 Pysanky (pronounced pi-san-kee) eggs. This class is suitable for beginners and for returning students with a thirst for creating more intricate designs. Hear a bit about the history of this folk art and experience it for yourself! All supplies are provided. An additional $20 supply and tool fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of class. Kathleen is a renowned artist in this 2000 year old art form and has created hundreds of designed eggs for art galleries and collectors across the country.
