Intro to Paper & Pigments in Watercolor with Michael Pierson

Join Michael for an “in-depth” discussion and tutorial on watercolor pigments and papers. You will learn how watercolor pigments are made and the differences between transparent, opaque, granulating and staining pigments. He will review and demonstrate tips and techniques to achieve unique textures with watercolor. Experience how pigments respond differently on a variety of papers. From weight to texture to durability, Michael will review the variety of papers that can be used in the application of watercolor. He will answer questions and offer direction and advice, including toward brushstrokes and approach. All supplies and materials are provided.
