Hybrid: In-Person or Virtual Painting Clouds with Chris Behrs
Saturday and Sunday, March 20, 21: 1-4 pm
I have been fascinated with clouds all my life; who hasn’t been? All the variations, facets, and qualities of clouds have been an inspiration in much of my work. Whether lumbering giants, wispy and feathery, or catching the incredible colors of a sunrise or sunset, clouds can play an important role in any outdoor painting. In this workshop we will explore the many facets and varied qualities of clouds. If you share this fascination and want to learn how to represent these incredible forms in your paintings, join me as I lead you through my approach and the steps in my process for painting clouds. I will be working in pastel, however I can assist you in the medium of your choice. Class will involve a demonstration both days, homework, and critique. Virtual students will receive digital images to work from or may use their own. In-persons students will receive reference images to work from or may bring their own. The supply list is available online.
