Tom Smith began playing guitar over thirty years ago. He was inspired by his mother’s ability to make three chords into three hundred country songs. He loves playing and sharing this joy with others. Over the past few decades he has played rock, country, blues and funk and feels privileged to have worked with amazing musicians. He will tell you that he once was in a band with a guy who previously played with a guy that was in Jimi Hendrix’s band!!!
Katie Hyde plays lead guitar in 2 bands, including Milwaukee based band, Lagoon. She has been playing guitar for over 5 years, acoustic, electric and 12-string. She is self-taught and she looks forward to sharing her love of playing by teaching others what has helped her as a guitarist. She has lots of experience with and loves being with children and teens. She will bring chords and riffs for students to learn. She will cover tabs, picking techniques, music theory, even how to perform on stage! She will have reference videos for students to practice with between sessions. Katie plays all genres of music.
