Americana Bluegrass
TANGLEWEED

Tangleweed is a band of five forward-thinking musical reactionaries from Chicago, Illinois. While the band’s instrumentation is standard bluegrass, their music is anything but. With a repertoire both broad and deep, one listener described them as sounding like “a band playing on a pirate ship off the coast of New Orleans in the 1920s.”

MAY 2010
Blues in the 'Burg
GUY DAVIS
May 7 , 2010 / 8 pm
"Guy Davis is a throw back; A throw back to an era where the musician was both storyteller and
entertainer. Davis ’ style is well rooted in early blues tradition, most notably Delta blues, but he can also pull off Piedmont or any other style that is called for at any given time."
