For nearly 25 years the Cedarburg Cultural Center has been at the heart of the cultural life of Ozaukee County. Begun with a focus on the area’s history, the Center’s mission has expanded to encompass the visual and performing arts, education, the humanities and history. The Center has also become a focal point for community life, serving as a venue for everything from presentations and special fundraising activities by other organizations to wedding receptions and birthday parties.
Among the many activities of the Center are:
- Architectural Treasures Tour
- Art Education Classes
- Children’s Theater
- Comedy by McMann & Tate
- Fireside Chats
- General Store Museum
- Gothic History Tour
- Irish Eve
- Kuhefuss House Museum
- The Little Show – Miniature Art Exhibit
- Main Street Gallery – Art by Local Artists from the Cedarburg Artists Guild
- Performances – “Blues in the ‘Burg”, Americana and more
- Strawberry Festival
- Wine and Harvest Festival
- Youth Plein Air Painting Competition
This wide range of activity is made possible by the generosity of our many friends and supporters. We ask that you consider joining their ranks, assuring that the next 25 years can be as engaging and community-focused as our first 25 years.
The three most important ways you can help are to volunteer, to contribute funds or to join as a member.
- Becoming a volunteer at the Cedarburg Cultural Center is more than just helping one of our community's non-profit organizations keep its doors open. Volunteers often make new friends when they help take tickets at performances, staff our desk at the General Store Museum, give tours at the Kuhefuss House Museum or simply gather at the Center to help with bulk mailings or answer phones during peak times. There are also many opportunities to join committees and work at our busy seasonal festival events. For information on volunteering contact Jean Lambo.
- Contributing to the Center’s Annual Fund Campaign or providing designated gifts for Cultural Center programs, activities or equipment. All donations to the Center, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt not-for-profit organization, are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. The Center receives no local government funding.
- Joining the Cultural Center. Membership provides an important connection to the Center, with information about special events, performances and gallery openings, along with discounts on many paid activities.
